…engineering practical solutions
Four Products LLC has designed the Fade Stop Brake Cooler with the largest heat-sink possible for your vehicle. This can result in extremely tight wheel to caliper clearances.

Four Products LLC provides quick test cutouts to check this clearance for your vehicle and wheel combination. It is strongly suggested that you download the test fit cut-outs, install them and check the clearance before ordering.

These test cutouts are saved in Adobe PDF format. PDF Reader is free and available at the Adobe website.

Test Fitting Directions:
First: Select your vehicle from the list and download both the inner and outer brake cut-outs by clicking on the part number.

Second: Print the PDF onto normal 8.5" by 11" paper and copy it onto heavy card stock paper. You may also glue the cut-out onto heavy card stock.

Third: Measure the dimensions of the cut-out with a ruler and make sure that these dimensions match what is printed on the cutout. This insures that the cutout was printed at a 1 to 1 scale. (If the cutout did not print at a 1 to 1 scale, click here).

Fourth: Cut out the pattern and fold the two tabs along the dotted lines until they are perpendicular to the cut-out surface.

Note: There are at least two different size cut-outs for each automobile. Most wheels have a taper that requires the FSBC on the outer brake pad be shorter than the inner. However, for some wheels the taller FSBC will fit in both the inner and outer positions. This is particularly true with trucks. If you believe your outer wheel diameter to be sufficent to fit the taller FSBC in both positions, then make a second cut-out of the taller FSBC and test it.

Fifth: Loosen the lug nuts on the tire and then jack the car up and support it on jack stands.

ALWAYS USE JACK STANDS TO SUPPORT A RAISED VEHICLE.

Sixth: Remove the tire.

Seventh: Remove the brake pads and push the pistons back into the caliper.

Eighth: Reinstall the brake pads with the cut-outs between the brake pad backing plates and the caliper pistons. The tabs should point away from the rotor and extend out over the caliper body.

Ninth: Step on the brake pedal to seat the cut-outs.

Tenth: Re-install the wheel and check the clearance between the wheel and the cut-out. There should be at least a 3/32" gap between the wheel and every part of the cut-out.

NOTE IF ANY BALANCING WEIGHTS WILL HIT THE FSBC WHEN INSTALLED!!!

Eleventh: After checking clearances.

REMOVE THE CUT-OUT!!!

DO NOT DRIVE WITH CUT-OUTS INSTALLED!!!

Twelfth: Order your Fade Stop Brake Coolers for your specific vehicle!
